Hyaenodon horridus

Hyaenodon horridus

$5,400.00

This is a fine example of an apex predator in Oligocene North America. Importantly, this is a transitional skull of a juvenile Hyaenodon into adulthood. This can clearly be seen in the upper canines and several molars where adult teeth are visible pushing out the juvenile ones. At 10.5” long and still bearing juvenile teeth, this most certainly was a male specimen. All the teeth, with the exception of some incisors, are real and original to the skull.
